KLOOP Legal

Privacy Policy

Effective date: 1 July 2026Placeholder — not legal advice

This policy explains what data KLOOP collects, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We build for Rwandan law (Law No. 058/2021 on personal data protection and privacy) first.

1.Data we collect

Account details (name, email, phone), viewing activity (watch time, likes, saves, follows), device identifiers used for view integrity, and payment details for creators and advertisers.

2.How we use data

To operate the service, personalize recommendations, measure qualified views for creator earnings, detect fraud, serve and cap sponsor messages, and communicate with you.

3.View tracking

We record watch sessions with a per-browser device hash. This powers Continue Watching, creator analytics and fraud detection. Sessions are attributed to your account only when you are signed in.

4.Advertising data

Advertisers receive aggregated campaign reporting only (impressions, views, clicks). We never sell your personal data or share your identity with advertisers.

5.Sharing

We share data with service providers (video hosting, payments) under contract, and with authorities when required by Rwandan law.

6.Retention

Account data is kept while your account is active. Watch sessions are retained for up to 24 months for analytics and earnings audits, then aggregated.

7.Your rights

You may access, correct, export or delete your personal data, and object to certain processing, by contacting privacy@kloop.rw. We respond within 30 days.

8.Children

KLOOP is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data. Contact us if you believe a child is using the service.

9.Security

We use encryption in transit, role-based access controls and audit logging on administrative actions. No system is perfectly secure; report concerns to security@kloop.rw.

10.Changes

We will notify you of material changes to this policy before they take effect.

This document is a demo placeholder for the KLOOP platform and does not constitute legal advice. Before launch, all policies will be reviewed by qualified counsel under the laws of the Republic of Rwanda. Questions: legal@kloop.rw.
