Takedown Requests

Effective date: 1 July 2026Placeholder — not legal advice

How to request removal of content from KLOOP — for copyright, privacy, safety or other legal reasons — and what happens after you do.

1.Who can file

Rights holders and their authorized agents (copyright), individuals appearing in content (privacy/image rights), and authorities acting under Rwandan law.

2.How to file

Email takedown@kloop.rw or use the in-app Report button. Include the video URL, the grounds for removal, your contact details, and evidence of your rights or identity.

3.Required statement

Copyright notices must include a good-faith statement that the use is unauthorized and that the information in the notice is accurate.

4.Review timeline

We acknowledge requests within 48 hours and aim to resolve straightforward cases within 5 business days. Urgent safety matters are prioritized immediately.

5.Interim measures

While a claim is investigated we may age-gate, demonetize or temporarily hide the content.

6.Uploader notification

The uploader receives the substance of the complaint and may respond or file a counter-notice where applicable.

7.Outcomes

Possible outcomes: no action, labeling or age-gating, demonetization, removal, strikes, or account suspension. Both parties are informed of the decision.

8.Appeals

Either party may appeal a decision within 14 days by replying to the resolution email with new information.

9.Legal orders

Content removal ordered by a competent court or regulator is executed promptly and logged in our transparency records.
